More than 60 years after first walking into Abbey Road Studios with The Beatles, Paul McCartney is still creating music in the same legendary room where history was made.

While introducing his new album, The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, McCartney reflected on the memories that continue to shape his life and music. The album revisits his childhood in Liverpool, his friendship with John Lennon and George Harrison, and the experiences that inspired The Beatles’ journey.

Looking back, McCartney shared that he never felt a responsibility to write about his former bandmates in a certain way—they were simply his friends. Despite difficult moments near the end of The Beatles, he treasures the bond he shared with John and was grateful they reconciled before Lennon’s passing.

The album also celebrates his lifelong friendship with Ringo Starr. On the song Home To Us, the two Beatles sing together for the first time, reflecting on their humble upbringing in Liverpool and the memories that still connect them.

Even at 83, McCartney remains excited about music. Whether recording at Abbey Road, collaborating with The Rolling Stones, or writing songs alone with his guitar, he says the feeling has never changed.

For him, the greatest reward isn’t fame or success—it’s the magic of creating something from nothing.

And after six decades, that creative spark is still burning.
